Graduation set for May 15, Senior’s Mom asks for in-person classes, Prom

MISSION - Todd County High School’s Class of 2021 will be graduating on Saturday, May 15, 11 a.m. The ceremony will be held at Falcon Field, as it was last year, weather permitting.

At the April 12 Board of Education Meeting, the mother of a Senior girl asked Board Members if they could possibly allow the students just to come to in-person classes the last few weeks of the school year. 

“The Todd County Teachers are awesome,” Jennifer Black Bear said. “But my child has struggled emotionally, mentally, to get her work done. There is no personal contact with other students or teachers, and I really believe just a few weeks with them would really help. The students feel they have just been forgotten by the school.”

Black Bear also asked if the Board would allow a Prom this year, even if parents could do it themselves. ...
