Awareness of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women goal of run/walk

By Kevin Thranow

Dozens gathered on Sunday morning to raise awareness of the thousands of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women cases, a huge percentage of which go unsolved. Runners started in Rosebud and joined the rest of the participants at Ampride in Mission to walk through the center of town. Before the walk commenced, Martina Iron Eagle shared the story of her daughter, Marquita Walking Eagle, who was murdered on November 1, 2009.
