Five arrests made from January robbing of Davita Dialysis

The Rosebud Police Department has made five arrest and served one search   warrant stemming from the January 23, 2016, break-In of the Davita Dialysis Center located in Rosebud, S.D.

The Rosebud Police Department would like to thank members of the public who have come forward with information after they identified the star quilts that have been posted and shared on social media sites as stolen.

After a lengthy investigation, The Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Services was able to locate and recover three star quilts and a painted buffalo skull. 

Two suspects arrested were charged with the theft/burglary from the Davita Dialysis Center and three suspects were arrested and charged with accessories after the fact by assisting in the sale of the stolen artwork, while they knew the items were stolen property.

The proceeds from the stolen artwork were used by the suspects to later purchase methamphetamine.

The Rosebud Police Department will be referring the case to the Rosebud Sioux Tribe Prosecutor’s Office and the United States Attorney. Names will be released after their initial appearances in tribal court.
