The walls inside the Rosebud Police Dept. were filled with cheer and a lot of smiling faces Monday as hundreds of youth stopped by to grab a toy and visit with Santa.
What started as a list on the wall to exchange gifts between those who work at the police department turned into so much more.
With a little help from NAHA, Native American Heritage Association, the Rosebud Police Department’s gift exchange soon blossomed into a toy and present giveaway to benefit hundreds on the Rosebud Reservation.
Early Monday morning the police department opened up it’s doors and hearts with employees hurriedly wrapping additional presents as the lines outside grew.
Families were able to come through and grab a gift, or clothing items that were being distributed by police department personnel.
