The February 10, 2020 regular meeting of the Todd County School District Board of Education was held in the Curriculum Center of the Administration Building.
Board President Debra Boyd called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. All motions carried unanimously, unless otherwise stated.
MEMBERS PRESENT: President Debra Boyd, Vice President Linda Bordeaux, Member Shelly Means, Member Timothy Cournoyer, Member Michelle Allen.
ADMINISTRATORS PRESENT: Superintendent Carol Galbraith, Business Manager Chad Blotsky, Public Relations Coordinator Phyllis Littau.
OTHER STAFF PRESENT: Tess Canet, Yancy Gunhammer, Kevin Swalley Sr, Robyn Pyner.
OTHERS PRESENT: Sandi Wright, Patricia Villanueva.
Lakota Flag Song was presented.
Motion by Bordeaux, second by Means to adopt the regular agenda as amended.
Caltha Crowe gave a presentation on Responsive Classroom in the district.
Kevin Swalley reported on security in the schools.
Robyn Pyner gave a report on nutrition in the school.
Superintendent Galbraith reported on a meeting with administration and legal counsel and also a new curriculum in production approved by Tribal Education. She also mentioned the opportunity for students to apply for a NASA program.
Motion by Means, second by Allen to approved a donation request from Patricia Villanueva to attend the 2020 Indian University of North America program at Crazy Horse Memorial, June 5-August 1, 2020 in the amount of $1,000.00.
