The February 20, 2020 Student Hearing/Work Meeting of the Todd County School District Board of Education was held in the Board Room of the Administration Building.

Board President Debra Boyd called the meeting to order at 4:14 p.m. All motions carried unanimously, unless otherwise stated.

MEMBERS PRESENT: President Debra Boyd, Vice President Linda Bordeaux, Member Michelle Allen, Member Shelley Means, Member Tim Cournoyer

ADMINISTRATION PRESENT: Superintendent Carol Galbraith

OTHERS PRESENT: Attorney Paul Jensen

Motion by Allen, second by Bordeaux to adopt the agenda.

Motion by Means, second by Allen to appoint Paul Jensen as Board Hearing Officer.

Motion by Cournoyer, second by Means to enter Executive Session at 4:15 p.m. for Student Hearing #1, in accordance with SDCL 1-25-2(2).

The President reconvened the meeting at 4:27 p.m.

Motion by Bordeaux, second by Cournoyer to uphold the Superintendent’s recommendation of expulsion through the end of the second semester for the 2019-20 School Year, which ends approximately May 22, 2020, for Student #1 for a Class IV Offense-Violation of Terrorism Threat.

The meeting adjourned at 5:51 p.m.
